Microneedling Treatment Instructions

Prior to the microneedling treatment, please observe the following:
• No Retin-A products or applications 1 week prior to your treatment.
• No prolonged sun exposure to the face 24 hours prior to your treatment.

• On the day of the treatment, please keep your face clean and do not apply makeup.
• If an active breakout or herpetic lesion occurs before treatment, please consult your practitioner.

After your microneedling treatment, you will look as though you have a moderate to severe sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This is normal and will subside after 1 to 2 hours and will normally recover within the same day or 24 hours.

Do not take any anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen, Motrin or Advil. These agents will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical and responsible for your skin rejuvenation.

Follow these simple steps:

Day 0: On the day of your treatment it is recommended that you do not wash your face or apply make up.

Day 1: On the next day, you may clean your face with gentle cleanser or tepid water. Stay away from exfoliants or glycolic acids, retinols or vitamin C for 5 days post treatment

*Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
* No exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment

Days 2-7: Within two (2) days following your Micro-Needling procedure, you will notice skin dryness and flaking. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!

*Avoid intentional and direct sunlight for 3-10 days. No tanning beds.

*Be sure to use an approved SPF30 or greater sunscreen!

Days 7+: A week after the Micro-Needling procedure, most patients notice that their skin is smoother and more radiant skin.
